2024 MRCG Annual Meeting
MRCG is pleased to announce that the 2024 Fall Annual Meeting will be held in Columbus, Indiana. We are still in the process of gathering all the necessary data.The 2024 MRCG Annual Symposium will be held at Helen Haddad Hall all day on Friday, October 25 and until noon on Saturday, October 26. There will be an evening Welcome Reception with drinks and light bites from 5-7 PM at the Columbus Area Visitor’s Center on Friday, October 25. Following the business meeting on Saturday, October 26, there will be optional FREE tours of the historic Miller House & Garden as well as an Angel Project at the Bartholomew County Historical Society to help assess the condition of some beloved collection items. Job Opportunity: Conservation Specialist (part time) - The Henry Ford - Jackson House Project
The Collections Specialist position is part of a project to process and care for objects associated with the home and contents of Dr. Sullivan and Richie Jean Jackson of Selma, Alabama (Jackson Home Project). The Jackson home and contents were recently acquired by The Henry Ford and relocated to Dearborn, Michigan.
Job Opportunity: Conservator, Objects - The Henry Ford - Jackson House Project
This Conservator will be responsible for the execution of artifact conservation activities related to the preservation and conservation of objects associated with the home and contents of Dr. Sullivan and Richie Jean Jackson of Selma, Alabama (Jackson Home Project), which were recently relocated to Dearborn, Michigan.

Job Opportunity: Conservation Assistant – The Preservation Lab
The Preservation Lab, a partnership to preserve and conserve the collections of the Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library and the University of Cincinnati Libraries, seeks applicants for a Conservation Assistant position. The Conservation Assistant is a technician level position with on-the-job training that may appeal to emerging conservation professionals. This position will join a collaborative team of 7 full-time staff members, including conservators, a preservation librarian, technicians, student workers and volunteers to preserve collections from both institutions.
Job Opportunity: Conservator, Head of Paintings Conservation Lab – Ford Conservation Center
The Gerald R. Ford Conservation Center is looking for a dynamic conservator to run its paintings conservation lab. As the leader of the painting's conservation lab, the conservator will treat works from a broad range of public and private clients throughout the region. The conservator will examine paintings, prepare treatment proposals - including time and cost estimates - and conserve artifacts and collections. The conservator will provide preservation expertise and outreach, participate in the Center's educational activities, and supervise technicians, interns and volunteers on painting conservation projects.
