Center for Collections Care now accepting scholarship applications

The Center for Collections Care is pleased to share that we are now accepting scholarship applications for the 2023 season. $250 for online courses and $650 for in-person courses. Scholarships have been made possible in part by a major grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities: Democracy Demands Wisdom.

Online classes include:

  • Fundamentals of Collections Management

  • Fundraising and Grant Writing for Collections Care

In-person classes include:

  • Care of Metals

  • Care of Photographs

  • Mount Making: The Design and Fabrication of Archival Mounts

  • Advanced Mount Making

  • Introduction to Textile Conservation

  • Advanced Textile Conservation

  • Matting and Framing Works of Art on Paper

  • Traditional Gilding

  • Storage Solutions

  • Rigging Works of Art

  • Packing Artwork for Transit

  • Introduction to Paper Conservation

  • Integrated Pest Management

  • Rare Books Care and Structure

Applicants must submit a complete Scholarship Application by March 6, 2023. All applicants will be informed of the status of their application by April 10, 2023.
